with our summer lives SO busy this year my days of blogging are going to be limited. . .
and i am taking a month off!

at this thrift store or that estate sale. . .
and guess what?
they are just sitting pretty waiting for me to do something with them!
so. . .
i think it is time to get my buns in gear and make them into a quilt for all of our retro summer outings this year!

the Plant Fam has seen it's FAIR share of grief and strife.
from cars to health to fires to floods. . . we've seen it all.
name something under the sun. . . it happened. . . to us.
we seem to have VERY bad luck. . . but you know what. . .
Why not us?

bad things happen ALL the time. . . so i guess i can handle all that comes our way. . . including flooding.
yes. it's happened again.
in a *new* place.
the ENTIRE basement.
*ugh*!

EVER SINGLE HOME WE HAVE *EVER* LIVED IN HAS FLOODED IN SOME WAY OR ANOTHER. including sewage. . . holy gross!

we have lived in four homes in our (almost) five years of marriage and EVERY single place we've called home has flooded. . . sometimes more than once.

good thing i got wise and invested in TONS of plastic totes.
so like i said. . . Why not us?
we have plastic totes.
we can suck up water until we puke.
bring it on!
we can handle it.

every day something new. . .
some problem to solve. . .
drama to encounter. . .
nerves to strain and tears to cry. . .
good thing i have my box of tissues and a brand *new* wet vac!
